California Miramar University Hosts Free Interviewing Tips and Techniques Workshop

The educators and professionals at California Miramar University once again have taken steps to help the students of today become the highly skilled professionals that the workforce of tomorrow needs.

San Diego, California On July 10 and 11, California Miramar University hosted a series of free Interviewing Tips and Techniques Workshops. The workshops were presented by KL Alston, an actor, comedian and business professor. The event was sold out, with California Miramar Students and local members of the community attending. Workshop participants were presented with a two hour PowerPoint presentation that covered a wide variety of subjects.

Preparation for an Interview

Students and local residents that attended the workshop hosted by California Miramar University learned how to recognize the importance of preparing for an interview. Not preparing enough for an interview could mislead the interviewer into believing that one is not experienced, not thoughtful, or just plain lazy. one can make sure that they do not miss a terrific opportunity. This workshop that teaches students interviewing and communication skills will help to ensure that they do not miss terrific opportunities.

The workshop hosted by California Miramar University also focused on the importance of first impressions. After that, lessons in preparing for the question and answer portions of an interview, as well was what to do once the interview has concluded were discussed at great length.

Going the Extra Mile for Students

The Interviewing Tips and Techniques Workshops put on recently were extremely interactive, offering each participant the chance to experience one on one drills, including mock interview scenarios.
